It has been approximately 2 years since I installed the Nismo underfloor bracing on my car and it was beginning to show.
Particularly on the rear braces which are in the direct firing line of stones kicked up by the front tyres. Especially with the sticky race-tyre like compound of the RE71Rs.
It was time to give them a refresh. I considered powder coat but I was on the fence about them especially considering the price. In theory powder coating is better than regular paint but at the same time if it does chip then it is no longer worth the money. So this time round I decided to go with regular paint.

So while my car was in for it's shaken inspection I decided to have the braces sent off to a body shop to get stripped and resprayed.
This coating should be more durable compared to the original paint which does not come with a primer or base coat.
Now we shall see how many years this lasts.

COVID lockdown and working from home means one's lunch break can be used for small jobs on the car.
I remembered it had been a while since my last last air filter change.

So time for a change.

The simplicity of older cars is always refreshing.

I also took this opportunity to remove the Nismo sticks which come with each filter for a cleaner look which suits the 400R air duct better.
It's the little things that count :)
